Weekend with rail sneham and tennis

Yesterday , being the weekend was as usuall a lazy day for us. Got up late dint feel like cooking and made the simplest of all bread upma at 11. 30 A.m . our brunch got overwith that. I sat down on the net to browse my e-mails and check the updates on orkut and face book accounts . After finishing with all that i sat down to check if there are any updates on ippadikku rose last week on tech satish.net. I must say these guys are amazing, i happened to find the old tele serial of KBbeing posted on the net - 'Rail Sneham'. I was struck by nostalgia , i remember the days when the show was aired, i was in my early teens and used to be a great fan of this tele-serial along with a few other masterpeices like suhasinis penn, revathis iravil oru pagal etc..My mom would let me watch this only after i had said my prayers and had finished my home work and studies forthe day.It used to be such an awesome combination of wat to choose and wat to leave those days when Doordarshan was the only choice.
Hurrayyyyyyyy.... once more in my life time i got to watch this serial again. Thanks to www.techsatish.net
I used love the song which come s at the begening of the serial rail sneham and i still do.The lyrics were so good ... As such am abig fan of K.Balachander.Here it goes....
Rail sneham... rail sneham..
mudhalum illadhadhu ,mudivum illadhadhu,
mugame illadhadhu,arimugame illadadhu...
vidhayum illamal nilamum illamal
maramai undavadhu....rail sneham (2)

Vazhkai ingu koncha neram vandha dhooram konja dhooram
sondhamillai endha oorum thevai illai aravaram...
tholil ulla bharam podhum..... nenjil enna veru bharam...
Netru meendum varuvadhillai..Nallai enge theriyavillai...
indru ondru mattume ungal kayil ulladhu...
vazhkai vandhu ungalai vazhthu parrkachonnathu...

mudhalum illadadhu....
wow, as i was listening to this..it took me back to my teens in chennai... i was totally engrossed on to the screen watching this while prem was cribbing about my act.. afterall only chennai'ites know the value of these miniscule joy...

As i am infected with this incessent channel surfing syndrome.. i browsed further to check wats new with ippadikku rose... That woman is awesome , she brings in all the social issues in the limelight last weeks show had a scary topic- its about black magic- mandrigam, oodu... or wat ever you call it... I gathered some guts to watch that show as i usually dont like to hear any negative vibes about anything in general..To confess ihate to watch horror movies and anykind ofsupernatural movies. The show kindled my inquicitiveness, to break my barriers and plunge on to the comp screen onceagain...I did recieve some interesting information which people say with so much conviction...well i've nothing to do with it. If only i had an chance to erase wat i heard from the show , it would be a blesssing ....
I particularly like the ones she did with eunuchs , a thought provoking one and the reality with divorce cases. She also brought the case of Anand john an NRI fashion designer who has been caged and chained in the US jail , because of sex related allegations made against him. The saddest part is that they are not letting him prove his point..which is the highly atrocious as for me.
Does the so called promised land made of immigrants hold any good any more?i honestly feel that if not for anything.,they must atleast hear his case...may god be with him if hes genuine..
Anyways....i also watched isai kudumbam, just to see krish performing... krish of june ponal fame has definitely got magic in his voice, but need to go a long way rendering some old songs and technically difficult songs.. I understand where he comes from, with just passion for music and acting he's come this far...With a little more efforts he will surely prove his worth . All the best Krish!!
It was about time for me to turn off the comp and sit in front of the TV screen to watch the grand finale of wimbeldon tournament. Two of my recent favourite players Rafel Nadal and Roger federer were facing each other...
It was such a thrilling match , though i must admit that i honestly wanted nadal to win this time, for i felt he really really needed it that any one..Though Prem was an ardent fan of federer whom he says , is a technical genius in playing tennis. We were like the north and the south pole yesterday cheering for our respective hearthrobs in tennis, sipping piping hot chai and enjoying the breezy weather outside .Atlast with all due respects to Federer,i was so damn happy for Nadal to see him biting the wimbeldon cup in his unique fashion.I've alwayz felt that 22 year old kid needs to taste the success of wimbelon this time.. Though federer is a technical genius in playing tennis... i really like the way Nadal keeps his water bottle in a particular way during every match and pulling his shorts before every serve. He's quite naive?? is'nt he??I feel he has some kind of raw magnetism ...
i was looking forward to listen to Borg saying something after the finals about the game... perhaps i guess i had missed it or they dint show his speech.. SAD:-((
One of the commentators said some thing which according to me was just not right , especially during the game point.. saying that ' Five times wimbeldon champion is now at the mercy of Nadal' - As such the players would have their own tensions and stress over and above that to say something like this ,one should be a nut of the first order.. what happened to your so called british politeness and mannerisms????I guess that guy should be fired for making such insensitive comments.... Bad recruit!!!
You just cant say obvious things like the blood gushing thro' the veins for the players, any layman would be able to say that you moron....
Anywayz....
My heart goes out to federer and would want to wish him the very best to take over the french open the next year....lets wait and watch...

Keep Smiling untill agian,
Adi'os hasta luego
chao,
:-))

Journey towrads my innerself

Hi, am doing good, seriously thinking of writing of something profound, not with an inclination to sound profound but with a hope of being real. Today I‘ve christened you ‘SUFI ’.Well did you like that name?? I hope you doJ, for it’s the impregnation of my brain baby, I don’t intend calling you a brain child as you need to grow..

Contemplating on how should be your interior as well as exterior. Will you have a strong exterior and a fragile interior or the vice versa, I don’t know, but you are sure to have a balance between accelerator and speed breaker. I hope to see you as a mediator between mind and heart, a goodwill ambassador to this so called contemporary existence, with a back log of an illogical insensitive past, carried over …various generations ..Having impregnated you , I can’t assure you of a smooth journey , but very much a thoughtfull transition to the present ,with the learnings gathered from the past..A trouble maker and a crisis manager surreptitiously are the tags you need to adorn at times between mind and the heart, especially when one overrules the other at different points in time.

Losses and gains, Positives and negatives, Strength and weakness, agonies and ecstacys, dilemmas and decisions are gonna be your shadows now. You will carry a message at every instance, when it comes to what is important and what is urgent. Within the parameters of the inner conscience..

Trust me i dont believe in posting too many articles in my blog which do not convey across any strong message that i want the world to know,am talking about the message that would create an inner awareness among the visitors..afterall i dont see it just as a medium to improve on hits and page views....

Anyway i have a little incident to narrate , this is about the recent demise of one of my cousins close friend whom i 'd got aquinted for a short while in my life....under such unpredictable and unimaginary circumstances one could think of.
When you introspect you realize that all saidand done ,job ,career, social status, image etc....that keeps bothering us through out this eternal life, one thing that remains for ever is the time you spend with people and making a soul connection within that little time available...may be friends ,starngers, aquintances , near and dear ones etc...thats the reason some passers by or strangers at times hit our memory lane for no reason,,,maybe you woul've lend them a pen in an airport under a busy circumstances, or a begger to whom you would've bought good food for a day,or an inanimate object or incident or a news paper article or an advertisement, am talking about such less important incidents also stay in our minds....the reason it stays is the soul connection that it makes makes with in that fraction of a second...thats wat matters.. , well am trying to strike a note on incidents and connections ,which is a viscious circle which can only be answered with the ability to question oneself...well if at all we'd understood this in the past then we would not have forgotten to make that long pending phone call to along lost friend which would've made a significant difference before either souls depart this planet....

Coming to the ability to question, there's a little humorous story written by paulo coelho..... which i would like to read it to you...Its a story about the importance of cat in meditation...
It reads like this, When i wrote 'Veronica decides to die', a book about madness, i was forced to ask myself how many of the things we do are really necessary, and how many are simply absurd. Why do we wear ties? Why do clocks move clock wise? If we live with the decimal system why does the day have 24 hours of 60 minutes each..? The fact is that many of the rules we obey nowadays have no real foundation. nevertheless if we choose to behave differently we are considered 'mad' or'Immature'. As long as this goes on the society will continue to create systems that with the passingof time will cease to make anysense but will continue imposing any rules on us. An interesting Japanese story illustrates my point. A Great zen master, in charge of the monastery of mayu kagi, owned a catwho was the real love of his life.During meditation classes, he always kept the cat by his side in order to enjoy its company,as much as possible. One morning the master who was alreday quite old was found dead and the oldest desciple took his place. What shall we do with the cat asked the other monks. In homage to the memory of his former teacher the new masterdecided to allow the catto continue attending the classes on zen buddhism. Some disciples in the neighbouring monastries, who travelled widely inthe region, discovered that, in one of the most famous temples in the area, the cat took part in the meditataions. The story began to spread. Many years passed ,the cat died, but the students at the monastery were so used to its presence that they acquired another cat.Meanwhile ,other temples began introducing cats in their meditation classes, they believed that the cat was the one which was responsible forMayu kagis fame, and for the quality of its teaching forgetting what an excellent teacher the former master had been. A Generation passed , and technical treattises on the importance of the cat in zen meditation began to be published.A university professor developed a thesis, acceptedby the acedemic community, that the cat had the ability to increase human concentration and to eliminate negative energy.. And thus for a century the cat was considered to be an essential part of the study of zen buddhism in that region. Then a master arrived , who was allergic to cat hair and he decided to remove the cat with the daily practices with the students. Everyone protested but the master insisted.Since he was a gifted teacher, the students continued to make progress despite the cats absence. Gradually, monastries always in search of new ideas and weary of having to feed so many cats- began to remove cats from the class room.Over the next20 years, revolutionary new theses were written, bearing persuasive titles like ,The importance of meditating with out a cat' or 'balancing the zen universe by the power of one's mind alone and without the aid of animals'. Another century passed, and the cat vanished completely from the Zen meditation ritual in that region. But it took two hundred years for everything to return to normal and all because no one thought to ask why the cat was there. How many of us , in our own lives, ever dare to ask, why do i behave in such and such a way?In what we do ,how far we do too, using futile 'cats' that we dont have the courage to get rid of because we were told that the cats were important in order to keep everything running smoothly?? Why do we not find a different way of behaving..... well if you ask me as to why am including this article is becos i strongly believe in questioning, may it be within oneself or to my boss at work.... rules of the game are the same for all..or crying baby gets the milk...

Rebirth of MAGNUM OPUS

'The story of a pencil'- Very profound unlike its caption.Thought why should'nt i give the same atricle to start my blog as well, and here it is for you to njoyyyyyyyyy...

A boy was watching his grandmother write a letter , at one point he asked:'Are you writing a story about what we've done or is it a story about me?'His grandmother stopped writing her letter and said to her grandson:'I am writing about you actually, but more important than the words is the pencil am using.I hope you'll be like this pencil when you grow up'.Intrigued, the boy looked at the pencil . It did not seem very special.'But its just like any other pencil that i've ever seen!'That depends on how you look at things. It has five qualities which , if you manage to hang on to them , will make you a person who is always at peace with the world.

'First quality: You are capable of great things, but you must never forget that theres a hand guiding your steps. We call that hand 'GOD' and he alwayz guides us according to his will.

Second Quality: Now and then, i've to stop writing and use a sharpener. That makes the pencil suffer a little but afterwards , he's much sharper. So you too, must learn to bear certain pains and sorrows, because they'll make you a better person.

ThirdQuality: The pencil always allows us to use an eraser to rub out any mistakes. This means that correcting something we did, is not necessarily a bad thing; It helps to keep us on the road to justice.

Fourth quality: What really matters for the pencil is not its wooden exterior but its graphite inside. So always pay attention to what is happening inside you.

Finally, the pencils fifth quality:It always leave a mark. In just the same way, you should know that every thing you do in life will leave a mark, so try to be conscious of that in your every action.

Now one might wonder thinking that this is a stale bread, very profound, boring may be for some, but what we forget here is that we'd been a pencil at every stage of our life sometimes by choice ,sometimes by accident but certainly not consciously - well this article which i flicked from paulo coelho's short stories is based on my inclination to sharpen oneself ,consciously so that we dont forget to leave a mark in every action we do....thought i would leave a mark about this in your minds too ..--- Cheers Sindhuathreya.
